Jose Cantos vs Olindo Faro

Boxing Daily Report from the Chola Promotions promoted show at Brasilia Cardoza, Brasilia,  taking place on 17/04/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil-Distrito Federal Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Cantos (5 - 21(4) - 4) who hails from Brasilia, Brazil and Olindo Faro(5(4) - 0) from Brasilia, Brazil.  Both Cantos and Faro weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Reynaldo Campos, and the three ringside judges are Orlando Sardinha, Frisco Pires and Antonio Mira.  

Round 1: 

Faro advances into close range and digs in a right uppercut to Cantos's body.  
Faro advances into close range.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cantos dabs at his face checking for damage.  Cantos has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Faro is looking to close the distance.  Cantos throws a left uppercut, but Faro clinches his opponent.  Faro is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Faro pushes his forearm into Cantos's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Faro closes the distance.  Cantos throws a left hook, but Faro holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Faro pushes his forearm into Cantos's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Faro advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Faro drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Cantos tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a cross.

Cantos sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Faro lands a jab to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Faro is looking to close the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Faro walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Faro is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Faro drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Faro is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Faro throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Faro ties up his opponent.  Faro hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Faro tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Cantos behind the head. 
Faro gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Faro lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Faro lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Faro lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Faro advances into close range and is on target with a firm right hook to Cantos's body.  
Faro feints a jab, and then lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS CANTOS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Cantos quickly recovers. 
Faro steps inside and is on target with a stinging right hook to Cantos's ribs.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Cantos's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Cantos's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Faro steps inside.  Faro lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS CANTOS TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Faro forces Cantos to retreat into a neutral corner.  Faro lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, AND CANTOS IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Cantos now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Faro is on target with a solid left uppercut to Cantos's body.

He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND CANTOS IS DOWN!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Faro!
