Gabriel Mangas vs Zacarias Alanis

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Ginásio Poliesportivo José Corrêa, Sao Paulo,  taking place on 29/05/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gabriel Mangas (31(20) - 13(8)) who hails from Curitiba, Brazil and Zacarias Alanis(32(6) - 5) from Porto Alegre, Brazil.  Both Mangas and Alanis weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente DaVilla, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Curro, Alfonso Solomon and Carlos Aponte.  

Round 1: 

Mangas is looking to close the distance.  Alanis lands a left uppercut.  
Mangas is on target with a sharp cross to his opponents body.  
Alanis throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook to Alanis's liver.  
Alanis hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Mangas steps away from his opponent.  Mangas sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Alanis sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mangas lands with a spiteful jab.  
Alanis is on target with a right hook to Mangas's body.  
Mangas gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Alanis on the ropes.  Mangas lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Mangas digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Mangas pivots from in front of his opponent.  Mangas is on target with a left hook.  Mangas attempts to land a left hook, but Alanis blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Alanis connects with a left hook.  Alanis throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.

Mangas gets on the inside.  Mangas is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  As Mangas tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Alanis dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Alanis tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but Mangas slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Mangas steps inside and is on target with a firm left hook.  
Mangas drives a stinging left hook into Alanis's body.  ALANIS IS HURT!  
Mangas knows Alanis is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Mangas lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND SENDS ALANIS SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Alanis lands a straight 1 - 2.  Alanis now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Mangas lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Mangas steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Alanis switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Alanis's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Alanis's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Alanis's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Mangas knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Mangas lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head, DROPPING ALANIS TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Alanis has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Mangas is looking to close the distance and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents ribs.

Mangas is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Alanis quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Mangas steps inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Mangas is on target with a solid left hook.  
Alanis is on target with a left hook.  
Mangas steps inside and digs in a right hook to Alanis's body.  
Mangas lands a cross to the body, a jab to the head and a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Alanis almost instantly recovers.

Alanis sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Alanis tries to land a jab, but Mangas slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.
