Dave Walsh vs Lee Ahearne

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Leinster promoted show at John Cary Gym, Drogheda,  taking place on 25/10/2021:

Clearly AI Ireland-Leinster have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Irish-Leinster Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Walsh (5 - 2 - 1) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Lee Ahearne(4 - 3 - 2) from Dublin, Ireland.  Walsh weighed in at 175 pounds, while Ahearne weighed in at 174 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ross Gauld, and the three ringside judges are Karl Finnegan, Karl Leary and Michael Corcoran.  

Round 1: 

Walsh is looking to close the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Walsh dabs at his face checking for damage.
