Ove Hanssen vs Johnny Drummond

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Providence Performing Arts Center, Providence,  taking place on 28/05/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ove Hanssen (12(7) - 1) who hails from Oslo, Norway and Johnny Drummond(27 - 15(3) - 2) from New Orleans, USA.  Both Hanssen and Drummond weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Charlie Mate, and the three ringside judges are Declan Hernandez, Malcolm Littlejohn and Peter Echevarria.  

Round 1: 

Drummond connects with a left hook.  Drummond attempts to land a cross, but Hanssen parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Hanssen feints a cross, and then lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  He then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Hanssen sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Hanssen EXPLODES a WICKED cross into his opponents face.  Drummond now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Hanssen drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Hanssen lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Hanssen lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Drummond is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Hanssen lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.

Drummond is on target with a left uppercut.

Hanssen steps to the outside and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Hanssen lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand left, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Hanssen lands a double jab to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Hanssen lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Hanssen throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Hanssen's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Drummond's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Drummond's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Drummond tries to step out of his opponents range.  Hanssen connects with a WICKED overhand right.  DRUMMOND WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Hanssen is on target with a spiteful jab.  
The right shot from Hanssen could be enough to force the stoppage!  Hanssen lands a right uppercut, left hook and a cross to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES DRUMMOND!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Drummond now seems to have got his legs back.  
Drummond steps away from his opponent.  Drummond drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Hanssen is on target with a spiteful jab.  
Hanssen steps to the outside and lands a cross, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.  
Hanssen tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab, cross and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Hanssen switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left to the head, a cross to the body and a cross to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Hanssen senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Hanssen lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook, cross and a right hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS DRUMMOND DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Drummond has now recovered from that shot earlier.

Hanssen tries to keep the action at long range.  Hanssen sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Hanssen attempts to land a jab, but Drummond blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Hanssen lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Hanssen strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Hanssen attempts to land a jab, but Drummond blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Hanssen stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Hanssen SLAMS a nasty right hook into his opponents face.  DRUMMOND IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Hanssen!
