Owen Linen vs Gareth Drennan

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Stanford Stadium, San Francisco,  taking place on 03/07/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Owen Lights Out Linen (32(30) - 0) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Gareth the Sledge-hammer Drennan(63(40) - 3(2) - 1) from Anaheim, USA.  Both Linen and Drennan weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jack Apted, and the three ringside judges are Obaid Abdelnour, Dillon Yeoman and Zachary Salmond.  

Round 1: 

Linen steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Drennan slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

Linen tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Drennan tries to land a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.

Drennan forces Linen to retreat onto the ropes.  Drennan connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Linen is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Drennan lands with a solid jab.  Drennan attempts to land a cross, but Linen slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Drennan gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Drennan closes the distance.  Drennan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into Linen's ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Linen.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Linen is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a sharp overhand right.  
Drennan closes the distance and drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  Drennan tries to land a right uppercut, but Linen sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Linen steps away from his opponent.  Linen feints a jab, and then attempts to land a cross, but Drennan blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Drennan closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Drennan gets on the inside.  Drennan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Linen hits home with a solid left hook.  
Drennan manages to force Linen onto the ropes.  Drennan lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Drennan is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Linen parries the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Drennan pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a solid right hook.  
Drennan is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Linen steps to the outside.  Drennan tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a FIERCE right uppercut.  DRENNAN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Drennan almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Drennan steps inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Drennan lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Drennan attempts to land a right hook, but Linen slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Drennan lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Drennan walks Linen onto the ropes.  Drennan is on target with a left hook to Linen's liver.  
Drennan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Drennan throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Linen's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Linen's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Linen's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Linen lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Drennan advances into close range.  Linen hits home with a right hook.  
Linen tries to keep the action at long range.  Drennan lands a solid cross.  
Drennan closes the distance and forces Linen to retreat onto the ropes.  Linen throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Drennan lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Linen steps to the outside and lands a sharp jab.  Linen throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Linen lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND DROPS DRENNAN TO THE CANVAS!  The ref does not give Drennan the chance to beat the count...The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Linen!
