Josh Leith vs James Pollock

Boxing Daily Report from the Fernando Hearn promoted show at Fort Lauderdale Barbo, Fort Lauderdale,  taking place on 06/06/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Florida Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Josh Leith (15 - 24(3) - 6) who hails from Pembroke Pines, USA and James Pollock(15(8) - 1) from St. Petersburg, USA.  Both Leith and Pollock weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juan Molina, and the three ringside judges are Malcolm Porteous, Rob Crumb and Sammy Bricken.  

Round 1: 

Pollock lands a stiff jab.  
Pollock closes the distance and digs in a solid right uppercut to Leith's ribs.  
Pollock attempts to land a right hook, but Leith parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Leith sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Pollock gets on the inside and lands a right hook.  
Pollock lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Leith tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but Pollock slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Pollock sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a sharp right hook.  
Pollock closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Pollock holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Pollock pushes his forearm into Leith's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pollock about fouling.  
Pollock gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Pollock ties up his opponent.  Pollock leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pollock lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Pollock tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pollock steps inside.  Leith throws a left hook, but Pollock clinches his opponent.  Pollock leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Pollock's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pollock lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Pollock clinches his opponent.  Pollock leans on his opponent using all his weight. Pollock tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Leith behind the head. 
Leith is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a cross.  
Leith is looking to keep his distance.  Leith sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Leith hits home with an overhand right.  Leith attempts to land a jab, but Pollock sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Pollock gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Leith's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Leith's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Leith's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
