Marlen Izkapts vs Juan Basco

Boxing Daily Report from the ATP promoted show at Elektrum Olympic Centre, Riga,  taking place on 26/07/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Viasat Sport Baltic, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Monster Marlen Izkapts (15(10) - 4(3)) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Juan Basco(13(5) - 3) from Quito, Ecuador.  Both Izkapts and Basco weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Borya Kede, and the three ringside judges are Mikhail Cers, Melor Rags and Melor Ulmanis.  

Round 1: 

Izkapts steps inside.  Basco throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Izkapts pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Basco almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Basco is on target with a jab.  Basco throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Basco lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Basco manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Basco is on target with a cross.  Basco tries to land a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Izkapts pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Izkapts connects with a right hook.  
Izkapts lands a CRUSHING right hook.  BASCO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Izkapts throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Izkapts senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Izkapts connects with a mean right uppercut.  BASCO IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like Basco has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Basco digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Izkapts voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Basco tries to tag Izkapts on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Izkapts hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Izkapts lands a jab.  
Izkapts closes the distance.  Basco connects with a right hook.  Izkapts clinches his opponent.  Izkapts is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Izkapts lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Izkapts ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Izkapts pushes his forearm into Basco's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Izkapts to stop fouling.  
Basco lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Basco pivots to the left of his opponent.  Basco tries to land a right hook, but Izkapts sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Basco throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Izkapts hits home with a firm cross.  
Izkapts advances into close range.  Basco throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Izkapts is on target with a stiff jab.  
Basco steps inside and tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a CRUSHING cross.  BASCO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Basco recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Basco lands a stinging cross.  
Izkapts lands a jab, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Basco advances into close range and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Izkapts advances into close range and lands a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Basco's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Basco's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Izkapts lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS BASCO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  Basco almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Basco pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Izkapts lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a jab to his opponents body.  
Basco steps inside and lands a right hook.  
Basco throws a left uppercut, but Izkapts clinches his opponent.  Izkapts throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Basco pushes his forearm into Izkapts's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Basco.  
Izkapts connects with a right hook.  
Basco tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Basco is on target with a cross.  
Izkapts gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.  
Basco throws a left hook, but Izkapts clinches his opponent.  Izkapts leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Izkapts throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Izkapts advances into close range.  Basco drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Basco connects with a cross.  
Basco tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a HUGE left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE BASCO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Basco quickly recovers. 
Izkapts lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Izkapts lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS BASCO TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  
Izkapts senses Basco is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Izkapts lands a DESTRUCTIVE left uppercut.  BASCO IS DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THE COUNT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH AND HAS STOPPED THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Izkapts!
