Santiago Zenon vs Carlos Fuerte

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Centro de Convenciones, Puebla,  taking place on 10/07/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Santiago Zenon (10(6) - 0) who hails from Tlalnepantla, Mexico and Carlos Fuerte(3 - 0 - 1) from Leon, Mexico.  Both Zenon and Fuerte weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Urvano Barraza, and the three ringside judges are Xalvador Pimienta, Juan Casares and Fidel Villar.  

Round 1: 

Zenon gets on the inside and digs in a firm left uppercut to Fuerte's ribs.  
Zenon lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Zenon walks Fuerte down, trapping him in the corner.  Zenon drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Zenon digs in a powerful left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  FUERTE IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Zenon lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Zenon steps inside and lands a left uppercut.  
Zenon lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Zenon is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  Zenon holds on to his opponent.  Zenon pushes his forearm into Fuerte's face.  The ref breaks Zenon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Zenon throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Zenon drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  Zenon ties up his opponent.  Zenon is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Zenon.  
Zenon is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  Zenon holds on to his opponent.  Zenon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Fuerte tries to land a jab, but Zenon blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Zenon manouvers Fuerte into the corner.  Zenon lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Zenon lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS FUERTE!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Fuerte quickly recovers. 
Zenon connects with a stinging right uppercut.  
Zenon lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Zenon lands a right uppercut.  
Zenon lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Zenon ties up his opponent.  Zenon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Zenon digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Zenon drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Zenon lands two right uppercut's to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Fuerte quickly recovers. 
Zenon walks Fuerte into the corner.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Fuerte dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fuerte's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Fuerte's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Zenon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together! Zenon advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Fuerte tries to land a left hook, but Zenon dodges the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Zenon lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Zenon digs in a firm right uppercut to Fuerte's ribcage.  Zenon holds on to his opponent.  Zenon leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Zenon lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Fuerte almost instantly recovers. 
Zenon lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Zenon closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Zenon lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Zenon lands a solid jab.  
Zenon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Fuerte throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Zenon advances into close range and attempts to land a right uppercut, but Fuerte blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Zenon digs in a firm right hook to Fuerte's body.

Zenon lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Zenon gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Fuerte quickly recovers. 
Zenon lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Zenon closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Zenon stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Zenon lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES FUERTE!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.

Zenon knows Fuerte is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Zenon lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, KNOCKING FUERTE DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Zenon!
