Chris Casey vs Spencer Sloan

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Gore Gym, Boston,  taking place on 10/07/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Casey (6 - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and Spencer Sloan(7 - 2(1) - 3) from Grand Rapids, USA.  Casey weighed in at 147 pounds, while Sloan weighed in at 146 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Charles Keath, and the three ringside judges are Mike Stobie, Bart McWethy and Nathan Burt.  

Round 1:

Sloan is getting frustrated here.   He throws a low uppercut...that landed south of the border! The ref halts the action and sends Casey to the neutral corner.    He tells Sloan to stop fouling or face a points deduction.  
Sloan throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Casey tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Casey senses Sloan is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Casey lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, DROPPING SLOAN TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Sloan now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
