Jesper Maupassant vs Joey Dennie

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at John Kresse Arena, Charleston,  taking place on 04/07/2038:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Jesper Maupassant (8 - 0) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Joey Dennie(6 - 15(1) - 1) from San Jose, USA.  Both Maupassant and Dennie weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Baines, and the three ringside judges are Chris Buyers, Johnny Meyrick and Owen Laing.  

Round 1: 

Maupassant hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Maupassant switches the action to the outside.  Maupassant quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.

Dennie advances into close range.  Maupassant throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Maupassant clinches his opponent.  Dennie pushes his forearm into Maupassant's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Dennie to stop fouling.  
Maupassant tries to keep the action at long range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Maupassant is looking to close the distance.  Maupassant is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  As Maupassant tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Dennie dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Maupassant lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.
