Eric Owens vs William McQuire

Boxing Daily Report from the Ecosse Boxing promoted show at John MacPhail Gym, Glasgow,  taking place on 30/07/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the British-Scotland Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Eric Rusty Owens (47(31) - 7(1) - 1) who hails from Edinburgh, UK and William McQuire(22 - 24(7) - 3) from Glasgow, UK.  Both Owens and McQuire weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David McClarnon, and the three ringside judges are Adam McCorquodale, William Cooper and Ed McPhatter.  

Round 1: 

McQuire drives a left hook into Owens's body.

Owens is looking to keep his distance and lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Owens gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND MCQUIRE IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Owens stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Owens lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND SENDS MCQUIRE TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  
Owens slams a big left hook into his opponents liver.  MCQUIRE IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  McQuire now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 5, lets listen in on the corners...McQuire's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

McQuire forces Owens to back into the ropes.  McQuire quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McQuire throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
McQuire gets on the inside.  Owens lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Owens holds on to his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  McQuire quickly recovers.

The ref is taking a close look at McQuire.  He takes another big shot from his opponent and the ref stops the action!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Owens!
