Brad Van der Vyver vs Jordan Calley

Boxing Daily Report from the South African Boxing Kingdom promoted show at Cape Town ICC, Cape Town,  taking place on 22/07/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Brad Van der Vyver (10(8) - 0) who hails from Randburg, South Africa and Jordan Caveman Calley(23 - 16(6)) from Melbourne, Australia.  Both Van der Vyver and Calley weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bongi Rantie, and the three ringside judges are Colin Ntuli, La Vonn Dorkenoo and Luvolwethu Nyatama.  

Round 1: 

Van der Vyver is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to Calley's body.  
Calley walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Calley is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Van der Vyver gets on the inside and lands a sharp left hook.  
Calley forces Van der Vyver to back into a corner.  Calley sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.

Van der Vyver gets on the inside and drives a sharp right hook into Calley's ribs.  Van der Vyver throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Van der Vyver digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  Van der Vyver attempts to land a right hook, but Calley parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Calley hits home with a cross.  
Calley attempts to land a left uppercut, but Van der Vyver blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Calley steps to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Van der Vyver gets on the inside and drives a weighty left hook into Calley's body.  CALLEY WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Van der Vyver is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Van der Vyver lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  Calley now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Van der Vyver hits home with a firm right hook.  Van der Vyver attempts to land a left hook, but Calley blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Van der Vyver lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Van der Vyver sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  It looks like Calley has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Van der Vyver throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Van der Vyver advances into close range.  Van der Vyver sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Van der Vyver's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Calley's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Van der Vyver dabs at his face checking for damage.  Van der Vyver has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.

Van der Vyver closes the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Van der Vyver advances into close range and drives a solid left uppercut into Calley's body.  
Van der Vyver lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Van der Vyver advances into close range and digs in a firm left uppercut to Calley's body.  
Calley contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Van der Vyver drives a stinging right hook into his opponents body.  
Calley throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Van der Vyver closes the distance.  Van der Vyver quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to Calley's ribcage.

Van der Vyver lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Calley almost instantly recovers. 
Calley quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Van der Vyver lands a cross.  
Calley steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Van der Vyver slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Van der Vyver gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Van der Vyver lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Calley recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Van der Vyver is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Van der Vyver throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Van der Vyver's body.
