Asif Ghaffari vs Leo Lockerby

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Irish Club, Brisbane,  taking place on 31/07/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Asif Ghaffari (2(2) - 0) who hails from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Leo Lockerby(3 - 1) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Ghaffari and Lockerby weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Barry Forbes, and the three ringside judges are Robert Catanach, Mark Taggert and Rob Gollon.  

Round 1: 

Ghaffari is looking to close the distance.  Ghaffari sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lockerby tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Ghaffari pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Lockerby hits home with a right uppercut.  
Ghaffari closes the distance.  Lockerby throws a left hook, but Ghaffari holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Ghaffari pushes his forearm into Lockerby's face.  The ref breaks Ghaffari's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lockerby lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Lockerby throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Ghaffari steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Lockerby attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Ghaffari time to recover.  
Lockerby connects with a cross.  
Lockerby pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a stinging jab.  
Ghaffari is on target with a sharp left hook to Lockerby's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE LOCKERBY WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
It looks like Lockerby has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Ghaffari cuts off the ring, trapping Lockerby in a neutral corner.  Ghaffari lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Ghaffari digs in a stinging left uppercut to his opponents liver.  Ghaffari holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Ghaffari pushes his forearm into Lockerby's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Ghaffari is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Ghaffari crashes a hurtful left uppercut to Lockerby's body.  LOCKERBY IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Lockerby now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Lockerby now seems to have got his legs back.  
Ghaffari sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS LOCKERBY TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Ghaffari knows Lockerby is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Ghaffari connects with a mean right hook.  LOCKERBY HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE IS UNABLE TO GET UP BEFORE THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Ghaffari!
