Jose Velasco vs Gauvain Meyong

Boxing Daily Report from the Money Promotion promoted show at Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex, Yaoundé,  taking place on 18/09/2038:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Velasco (17(13) - 0) who hails from La Florida, Chile and Gauvain Meyong(15(11) - 4(3)) from Garoua, Cameroon.  Both Velasco and Meyong weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vermont Mandjeck, and the three ringside judges are Sezni Ipoua, Fabron Baudhuin and Montrell Mekongo.  

Round 1: 

Velasco tries to step out of his opponents range.  Meyong tries to land a jab, but Velasco slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Meyong's ribcage.  
Meyong closes the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Velasco digs in a stinging left hook to Meyong's body.  
Meyong lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Meyong gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Velasco is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Meyong gets on the inside and connects with a sharp left uppercut.  
Meyong quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Velasco digs in a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Velasco tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Meyong lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Meyong quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Meyong digs in a left hook to Velasco's body.  Meyong tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Velasco lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Meyong lands a left hook.  Velasco wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
