Mark Monteith vs Dave Smith

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Alberta promoted show at Gregor Condie Gym, Calgary,  taking place on 22/09/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Monteith (12 - 16(2)) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Dave Smith(15(3) - 8(1)) from Calgary, Canada.  Monteith weighed in at 135 pounds, while Smith weighed in at 134 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Zachary Sinton, and the three ringside judges are Tyson Bart, Oscar Lewis and Zachary Shillinglaw.  

Round 1: 

Smith is looking to close the distance.  Smith hits home with a right hook.  Monteith wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Smith.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Monteith is looking to close the distance.  Smith lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Smith ties up his opponent.  Monteith is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Monteith to stop fouling.  
Smith connects with a solid right hook.  
Smith is on target with a right uppercut to Monteith's body.  
Smith steps inside and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Smith holds on to his opponent.  Smith pushes his forearm into Monteith's face.  The referee warns Smith and breaks the clinch.  
Smith lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Smith closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Smith throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Smith holds on to his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
