Kunle Thomas vs Scott Ikechukwu

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Abia State promoted show at Theophilus Tochukwu Gym, Aba,  taking place on 30/09/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Abia State Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kunle Thomas (21 - 18 - 6) who hails from Aba, Nigeria and Scott Ikechukwu(8 - 15 - 6) from Aba, Nigeria.  Both Thomas and Ikechukwu weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nwankwo Nwoke, and the three ringside judges are Ali Sharaf, Jay Onuegbu and Theophilus Williams.  

Round 1: 

Thomas is looking to keep his distance.  Ikechukwu is on target with a cross.  
Ikechukwu lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.

Ikechukwu walks his opponent down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Thomas attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Ikechukwu's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Ikechukwu gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.

Ikechukwu advances into close range.  Thomas hits home with a left hook.  As Thomas tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ikechukwu dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Ikechukwu.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Ikechukwu hits home with a left hook.  
Ikechukwu connects with a left uppercut.  
Ikechukwu drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Ikechukwu lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Ikechukwu advances into close range.  Thomas throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.
