Odion Akpan vs Tunde Mbachu

Boxing Daily Report from the Assifuah Promotions promoted show at Aba Amodu, Aba,  taking place on 30/09/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Abia State Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Odion Akpan (7 - 17(1) - 1) who hails from Aba, Nigeria and Tunde Mbachu(15(4) - 6(1) - 2) from Aba, Nigeria.  Both Akpan and Mbachu weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hope Goodluck, and the three ringside judges are Thompson Orelesi, Tunde Obode and Farhan Moussa.  

Round 1: 

Akpan tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Mbachu advances into close range and drives a solid left hook into Akpan's ribs.  
Mbachu lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Mbachu is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook.

Mbachu is looking to close the distance.  Akpan throws a left hook, but Mbachu clinches his opponent.  Mbachu leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Mbachu sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Akpan throws a left hook, but Mbachu clinches his opponent.  Akpan pushes his forearm into Mbachu's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Akpan about fouling.  
Akpan steps to the outside and lands a jab.  
Mbachu lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Akpan steps away from his opponent and throws an overhand left, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Mbachu advances into close range and digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Mbachu ties up his opponent.  Mbachu leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Mbachu throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mbachu to stop fouling.  
Mbachu walks Akpan into the corner.  Mbachu lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mbachu lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Mbachu digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  Mbachu ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
