Barry Turnley vs John MacNeill

Boxing Daily Report from the Matchroom promoted show at Double Tree Hotel, Sheffield,  taking place on 18/10/2038:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Central England Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Barry Turnley (24(16) - 6 - 1) who hails from Nottingham, UK and John MacNeill(7 - 3 - 1) from Coventry, UK.  Turnley weighed in at 112 pounds, while MacNeill weighed in at 111 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Blake Forgie, and the three ringside judges are Arthur MacGuire, John McQuay and Tobias Moffit.  

Round 1: 

Turnley is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Turnley clinches his opponent.  Turnley is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
MacNeill steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Turnley pivots to the left of his opponent and hits the target with a hard jab.  
Turnley advances into close range and is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  Turnley clinches his opponent.  Turnley pushes his forearm into MacNeill's face.  The referee warns Turnley and breaks the clinch.  
Turnley hits home with a solid cross.  
Turnley lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  Turnley ties up his opponent.  Turnley is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Turnley's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Turnley digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Turnley is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Turnley clinches his opponent.  Turnley leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  MacNeill quickly recovers. 
Turnley lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  MacNeill almost instantly recovers. 
Turnley connects with a stinging right hook.  
Turnley lands a right hook.  
Turnley lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  Turnley clinches his opponent.  Turnley is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Turnley throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Turnley is on target with a firm left uppercut to MacNeill's body.  
Turnley lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Turnley drives a stinging right hook into MacNeill's ribs.  Turnley ties up his opponent.  Turnley leans on his opponent using all his weight. Turnley uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits MacNeill behind the head. Turnley attempts to land a right hook, but MacNeill parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Turnley connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Turnley slams a spiteful left uppercut into MacNeill's ribs.  MACNEILL IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  
Turnley is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  
Turnley lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Turnley quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Turnley walks MacNeill down, trapping him in a corner.  Turnley drives a sharp right hook into his opponents body.  
Turnley digs in a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Turnley hits home with a sharp right uppercut.  Turnley clinches his opponent.  Turnley leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Turnley is on target with a stinging right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...MacNeill's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  MacNeill's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Turnley lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body, KNOCKING MACNEILL DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Turnley closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Turnley lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Turnley dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Turnley advances into close range and hits home with a firm right uppercut.  
MacNeill pivots to the left of his opponent.  Turnley connects with a firm cross.  
Turnley digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Turnley manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Turnley lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  MacNeill almost instantly recovers. 
Turnley digs in a solid right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Turnley lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Turnley lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Turnley connects with a stinging right uppercut.  
Turnley lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  MacNeill quickly recovers.
