Danny Monaghan vs Baligh Bassir

Boxing Daily Report from the Ringside Promotions promoted show at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh,  taking place on 11/12/2038:

Clearly Ringside Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the WRBC Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Danny Monaghan (62(47) - 4 - 1) who hails from Manchester, UK and Baligh Bassir(31(23) - 7(6)) from Khemisset, Morocco.  Both Monaghan and Bassir weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is William Owen, and the three ringside judges are Angus Greenaway, Charlie MacNeal and Peter McWethy.  

Round 1: 

Bassir is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook.  
Monaghan throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Monaghan hits home with a cross.

Monaghan is on target with a telling left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE BASSIR WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Bassir recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Bassir steps inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Bassir throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Bassir closes the distance and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Monaghan lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Monaghan throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Monaghan ties up his opponent.  Bassir pushes his forearm into Monaghan's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Monaghan tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Monaghan lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Bassir steps inside.  Monaghan hits home with a right hook.  Monaghan tries to land a right hook, but Bassir slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Bassir lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Monaghan tries to step out of his opponents range.  Bassir is on target with an overhand left.  Bassir throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Monaghan lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Monaghan switches the action to the outside and lands a solid cross.  
Monaghan lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Bassir manages to force Monaghan onto the ropes.  Bassir hits home with a right uppercut.  Bassir throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Monaghan lands a solid right hook.  
Bassir is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  Monaghan clinches his opponent.  Bassir is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Bassir and breaks the clinch.  
Monaghan hits home with a left uppercut.  
Monaghan tries to step out of his opponents range and lands with a spiteful jab.  
Monaghan connects with a BRUTAL cross.  BASSIR IS HURT!  Bassir almost instantly gets his legs back.

Monaghan gets on the inside.  Bassir is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  Monaghan ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Monaghan pushes his forearm into Bassir's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Monaghan.  
Monaghan tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Bassir drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Bassir is looking to close the distance.  Monaghan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Monaghan attempts to land a left hook, but Bassir slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Bassir tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Monaghan switches the action to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.

Bassir attempts to land a jab, but Monaghan slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Bassir steps inside.  Monaghan digs in a right hook to Bassir's body.  
Bassir walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Monaghan lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Bassir cuts off the ring, trapping Monaghan on the ropes.  Bassir is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bassir lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Monaghan steps away from his opponent.  Bassir lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Monaghan lands a firm cross.  
Bassir advances into close range and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Monaghan ties up his opponent.  Monaghan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Monaghan about fouling.

Monaghan is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Monaghan SLAMS a mean left uppercut into his opponents face.  BASSIR IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Bassir now seems to have his senses back.  
Monaghan connects with a firm overhand right.  
Bassir is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Monaghan lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

Bassir lands a left hook.  
Monaghan lands a jab.  
Monaghan is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Bassir is looking to close the distance.  Bassir quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Monaghan is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Monaghan sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Monaghan lands a MASSIVE right uppercut.  BASSIR IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Monaghan!
