Olindo Nuncio vs Chris Shives

Boxing Daily Report from the Zulu Promotions promoted show at Norfolk Burton, Norfolk,  taking place on 06/11/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Virginia Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Olindo Nuncio (17(2) - 3(1) - 1) who hails from Norfolk, USA and Chris Shives(24 - 23(4) - 6) from Norfolk, USA.  Both Nuncio and Shives weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Thomas Miller, and the three ringside judges are Jasper MacFarland, Jamie McClennen and Dan Whalen.  

Round 1: 

Nuncio advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Nuncio lands a right hook.  
Nuncio sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a sharp right hook to Shives's body.  
Nuncio is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Nuncio is on target with a stinging left hook to Shives's liver.  
Shives steps to the outside.  Nuncio lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Nuncio is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Nuncio advances into close range and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Nuncio steps inside.  Nuncio pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Shives tries to step out of his opponents range.  Nuncio quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands with a ramrod jab.

Nuncio steps inside and is on target with a stinging left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Nuncio pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Nuncio gets on the inside and walks Shives into a corner.  Nuncio lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Nuncio lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Nuncio lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Nuncio gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.

Shives closes the distance.  Nuncio pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Nuncio quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Nuncio lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Nuncio steps inside.  Nuncio sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Nuncio wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Shives.  That has caused swelling  around the left eye.  
Nuncio steps away from his opponent and lands a jab.  
Nuncio steps inside and drives a right hook into Shives's body.  Nuncio clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Nuncio pushes his forearm into Shives's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Nuncio is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Shives hits home with a cross.  
Nuncio steps inside.  Nuncio sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Shives throws a left hook, but Nuncio holds on to his opponent.  Nuncio leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.

Shives pivots from in front of his opponent.  Shives attempts to land a cross, but Nuncio slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Nuncio is looking to close the distance.  Nuncio wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Shives has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  The foul has worsened the damage  around the left eye.

As they grapple, Nuncio pushes his forearm into Shives's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Nuncio about fouling.
