Meinrad Plassmeyer vs Spengler Gericke

Boxing Daily Report from the Keet Promotions promoted show at Kassel Sauser, Kassel,  taking place on 24/11/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Germany-Hesse Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Meinrad Plassmeyer (6 - 5 - 1) who hails from Frankfurt, Germany and Spengler Gericke(29(22) - 18(11) - 1) from Wiesbaden, Germany.  Both Plassmeyer and Gericke weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Altmann Delp, and the three ringside judges are Bamey Kuhne, Rodgers Herb and Dolph Cotta.  

Round 1: 

Gericke throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Gericke lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Gericke lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Gericke steps inside.  Gericke sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Plassmeyer throws a right hook, but Gericke holds on to his opponent.  Gericke leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Plassmeyer tries to keep the action at long range.  Gericke lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Gericke closes the distance and drives a right hook into Plassmeyer's body.  
Gericke lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Gericke lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Gericke throws a left uppercut, but is not on target.  Gericke holds on to his opponent.  Gericke leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Gericke's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gericke lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  
Gericke cuts off the ring, trapping Plassmeyer in a corner.  Plassmeyer throws a right uppercut, but Gericke clinches his opponent.  Plassmeyer leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gericke digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Gericke switches the action to the outside.  Plassmeyer lands a cross.  
Gericke connects with a sharp left hook.  
Plassmeyer switches the action to the outside.  Gericke drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Plassmeyer attempts to land a jab, but Gericke slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gericke gets on the inside and walks Plassmeyer into the corner.  Gericke lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Gericke lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gericke drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Plassmeyer dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Plassmeyer.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Gericke connects with a right hook.  
Gericke lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Gericke wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Plassmeyer dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Plassmeyer's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Plassmeyer's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Plassmeyer's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Gericke lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Gericke lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gericke hits home with a firm left hook.  
Gericke lands a jab.  
Gericke feints a right, and then lands two jabs followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Gericke is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right uppercut.

Plassmeyer steps to the outside.  Gericke hits home with an overhand right.  
Plassmeyer throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Gericke lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Gericke closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Gericke clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Gericke pushes his forearm into Plassmeyer's face.  The ref breaks Gericke's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gericke lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Gericke drives a right uppercut into Plassmeyer's ribcage.  Gericke clinches his opponent.  Gericke is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gericke hits home with a left hook.  
Gericke pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Gericke lands a right hook.  
Gericke drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Gericke ties up his opponent.  Plassmeyer is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Plassmeyer to stop fouling.  
Plassmeyer switches the action to the outside.  Gericke lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Plassmeyer switches the action to the outside and strikes his opponents body with a jab.

Gericke closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Plassmeyer quickly recovers. 
Plassmeyer throws a right hook, but Gericke holds on to his opponent.  Gericke leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Gericke pushes his forearm into Plassmeyer's face.  The referee warns Gericke and breaks the clinch.  
Gericke forces Plassmeyer to back into a neutral corner.  Gericke pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Gericke is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  Gericke ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gericke lands a double right hook to his opponents head.

Gericke lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Plassmeyer recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Gericke steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Gericke lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Gericke throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Gericke stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Gericke lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DROPS PLASSMEYER!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Gericke!
