Blake Leap vs Zachary Quail

Boxing Daily Report from the Kanda Promotions promoted show at Robert Lyell Gym, Vancouver,  taking place on 19/12/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-British Columbia Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Blake Leap (7 - 6) who hails from Surrey, Canada and Zachary Quail(7 - 10 - 2) from Vancouver, Canada.  Leap weighed in at 114 pounds and 15 ounces, while Quail weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rex Forker, and the three ringside judges are Paul Low, Sam Mortimer and Connor Blakely.  

Round 1: 

Quail steps inside and drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Leap is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Leap tries to keep the action at long range.  Leap feints a right, and then lands a cross.  
Quail sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Quail tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Leap is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab.  
Leap is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a cross.  
Quail advances into close range and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Quail dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Quail.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Leap tries to keep the action at long range.  Leap sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with an overhand left.  
Quail steps inside.  Leap connects with a left hook.  
Quail gets on the inside.  Quail pivots to the left of his opponent.  Leap is on target with a right uppercut.
