Ashoka Banik vs Anupam Pongte

Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Maharashtra promoted show at Nagpur Allam, Nagpur,  taking place on 24/12/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the India-Maharashtra Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ashoka Banik (14 - 16(3) - 2) who hails from Mumbai, India and Anupam Pongte(11 - 7(2) - 2) from Nagpur, India.  Both Banik and Pongte weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Darshan Devshah, and the three ringside judges are Danyaal Ghazal, Siddharth Mangal and Rehman Sharifi.  

Round 1: 

Pongte feints a cross, but Banik is not fooled and lands with a left uppercut.  
Pongte closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Banik has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused a minor cut in the corner of the right eye.  .  
Banik lands a right hook.  
Banik throws a left hook, but Pongte ties up his opponent.  Pongte leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Banik pushes his forearm into Pongte's face.  The ref breaks Pongte's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pongte throws a left hook, but misses the target.  Pongte ties up his opponent.  Banik throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Pongte pushes his forearm into Banik's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pongte about fouling.  
Banik hits home with a cross.

Pongte tries to land a jab, but Banik blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Pongte's ribs.

Pongte closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Pongte throws a left hook, but is off-target.  Pongte clinches his opponent.  Pongte leans on his opponent using all his weight. Banik pushes his forearm into Pongte's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
