Neper Zermeno vs Tajo Basulto

Boxing Daily Report from the Raisian Promotions promoted show at Mexico-Baja California Gym, Tijuana,  taking place on 27/12/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Baja California Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Neper Zermeno (4 - 8 - 1) who hails from Tijuana, Mexico and Tajo Basulto(9 - 16(1) - 4) from Tijuana, Mexico.  Zermeno weighed in at 236 pounds and 13 ounces, while Basulto weighed in at 234 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Lisandro Castellanos, and the three ringside judges are Marjun Villalpando, Loredo Sia and Carlos Cornejo.  

Round 1: 

Zermeno tries to keep the action at long range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Basulto advances into close range and lands a right hook.  
Basulto walks his opponent into the corner.  Zermeno lands a left hook.

Zermeno throws a left hook, but Basulto clinches his opponent.  Zermeno is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Basulto's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Zermeno attempts to land a left hook, but Basulto sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Basulto advances into close range.  Zermeno steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Basulto accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Zermeno.  
Basulto is on target with a right hook.  
Zermeno attempts to land a cross, but Basulto slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Basulto hits home with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Zermeno's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.
