Michi Goto vs Fumio Ito

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Hiroshima promoted show at Jiro Oshiro Gym, Fukuyama,  taking place on 28/12/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Hiroshima Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michi Goto (6 - 3 - 1) who hails from Hiroshima, Japan and Fumio Ito(1 - 4(1)) from Hiroshima, Japan.  Both Goto and Ito weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nori Oye, and the three ringside judges are Jun Hironaka, Yuji Suda and Goro Tengan.  

Round 1: 

Goto pivots to the side of his opponent.  Goto attempts to land a cross, but Ito slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Goto gets on the inside.  Ito throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Goto to the neutral corner.  He tells Ito he will lose a point if he continues to foul.  
Goto throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Ito steps away from his opponent and hits home with an overhand right.  
Goto steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Ito lands a jab.  
Goto closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Goto dabs at his face checking for damage.  Goto has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Goto's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Ito's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
