Banji Deya vs Shaun Midiwo

Boxing Daily Report from the Ndovi Promotions promoted show at Nairobi Ammar, Nairobi,  taking place on 28/12/2038:

Clearly Ndovi Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Banji Deya (11 - 6) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Shaun Midiwo(6 - 14 - 8) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Deya weighed in at 246 pounds and 8 ounces, while Midiwo weighed in at 235 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Shaun Chelangat, and the three ringside judges are Yobachi Rubia, Rob Birdi and James Chepkemei.  

Round 1: 

Deya lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Deya dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Midiwo tries to keep the action at long range.  Deya lands a cross.  
Deya closes the distance.  Midiwo leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Deya tries to tag Midiwo on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Midiwo's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Midiwo's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
