Gazi Pervez vs Jawad Saladin

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Iran-Razavi Khorasan promoted show at Astan Ghods Sports Complex, Mashhad,  taking place on 29/12/2038:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Iran-Razavi Khorasan Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IRIB, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gazi Pervez (7(1) - 1) who hails from Mashhad, Iran and Jawad Saladin(16 - 6(1) - 4) from Mashhad, Iran.  Pervez weighed in at 160 pounds, while Saladin weighed in at 160 pounds and 10 ounces.    As Saladin came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the titles on the line tonight.  
The referee tonight is Ibrahim Jamal, and the three ringside judges are Umair Shams, Bilal Farah and Tariq Akbari.  

Round 1: 

Pervez closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  Pervez ties up his opponent.  Pervez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pervez walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Pervez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Pervez lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pervez lands a firm cross to his opponents body.  
Pervez closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Pervez holds on to his opponent.  Pervez is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Pervez pushes his forearm into Saladin's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pervez drives a left hook into Saladin's body.

Saladin pivots to the side of his opponent.  Saladin attempts to land a right uppercut, but Pervez blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Pervez pivots from in front of his opponent.  Saladin throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Pervez steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Pervez throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Pervez gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to Saladin's body.  
Pervez lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Saladin has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.  
Pervez is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Pervez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.
