Santiago Yanes vs Macario Severo

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Bayamon Vargas, Bayamon,  taking place on 30/12/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Puerto Rico-Bayamon Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Yanes (10 - 7(2) - 4) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Macario Severo(6(4) - 1) from Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  Yanes weighed in at 117 pounds and 4 ounces, while Severo weighed in at 117 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Xeres Trigueros, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Capo, Ramirez Fontan and Alano Exposito.  

Round 1: 

Yanes pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Severo lands a left hook.  Severo holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Yanes pushes his forearm into Severo's face.  The referee warns Yanes and breaks the clinch.  
Severo feints a right hook, and then snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  Severo tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Severo gets on the inside and connects with a solid right uppercut.  Severo holds on to his opponent.  Severo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Severo throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot.  Severo ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Severo pushes his forearm into Yanes's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Severo.  
Yanes is looking to keep his distance.  Severo tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Yanes attempts to land an overhand left, but Severo slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Severo is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Severo lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Severo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Severo lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  Severo ties up his opponent.  Severo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Yanes steps to the outside.  Severo hits home with a stinging cross.  
Severo lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Severo advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Severo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a hurtful overhand left.  YANES IS HURT!  
Severo gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Yanes now seems to have got his legs back.  
Severo forces Yanes to retreat onto the ropes.  Severo lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Severo holds on to his opponent.  Severo hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Severo walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Severo lands a solid left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Yanes's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Yanes's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Yanes's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Severo connects with a solid left hook.  
Severo closes the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Severo lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Severo DETONATES a BRUTAL left hook on his opponents face.  YANES IS HURT!  Severo ties up his opponent.  Severo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Yanes recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Severo drives a left hook into Yanes's liver.  
Severo is on target with a sharp left hook to Yanes's body.  
Severo lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Severo cuts off the ring, trapping Yanes on the ropes.  Severo lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Severo lands a sharp left uppercut.  
Severo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Yanes recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Severo gets on the inside and is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Severo lands a VICIOUS left hook.  YANES WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Severo pivots to the left of his opponent.  Yanes throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a BRUTAL right hook.  Yanes now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Severo advances into close range.  Severo pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Severo connects with a stinging right hook.  
Severo lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Yanes recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Severo walks Yanes down, trapping him on the ropes.  Severo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Severo sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Severo lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS YANES SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Severo!
