Diego Bernardez vs Juan Zendejas

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Costa Rica-San Jose promoted show at Guillermo Villasana Gym, San Jose,  taking place on 15/01/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Costa Rica Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Repretel Channel 11, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Diego Bernardez (35(32) - 7(5)) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Juan Zendejas(14 - 12(3) - 1) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  Both Bernardez and Zendejas weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ramirez Villalta, and the three ringside judges are Agapetus Magdaleno, Oihane Clavijo and Rodrigo Fanta.  

Round 1: 

Bernardez snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.  
Zendejas tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a cross.  
Bernardez lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Zendejas almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Zendejas digs in a right hook to Bernardez's ribcage.  
Bernardez gets on the inside and lands a right hook.  
Bernardez lands a spiteful jab.  
Bernardez is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Bernardez clinches his opponent.  Bernardez is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Bernardez's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Bernardez lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Bernardez throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Bernardez advances into close range and connects with a right hook.  
Bernardez throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Bernardez advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Bernardez is looking to close the distance and is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Zendejas digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Zendejas pivots to the right of his opponent.  Bernardez is on target with a solid left hook.  
Zendejas tries to land a right hook, but Bernardez blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Zendejas is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right.  
Bernardez closes the distance and lands a right hook, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Bernardez clinches his opponent.  Zendejas uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Bernardez behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bernardez forces Zendejas to retreat into a corner.  Bernardez lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Bernardez holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Bernardez pushes his forearm into Zendejas's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Bernardez to stop fouling.  
Some sustained pressure from Bernardez could be enough to finish Zendejas!  Bernardez lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS ZENDEJAS TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Zendejas now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Bernardez lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Bernardez holds on to his opponent.  Zendejas pushes his forearm into Bernardez's face.  The ref breaks Bernardez's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Zendejas almost instantly gets his legs back. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Zendejas's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Zendejas's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Zendejas steps away from his opponent and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Zendejas steps away from his opponent and throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Bernardez lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND ZENDEJAS IS DOWN!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Bernardez!
