Elderson Akpan vs Farhan Shafi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Kano State promoted show at Bristol Palace Hotel, Kano,  taking place on 16/01/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Nigeria-Kano State Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Elderson Akpan (12(1) - 3 - 1) who hails from Kano, Nigeria and Farhan Shafi(25 - 4 - 1) from Kano, Nigeria.  Both Akpan and Shafi weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Obafemi Olayinka, and the three ringside judges are Theophilus Adeniran, Rashid Nazimuddin and James Obekpa.
