Marin Lavanchy vs Gareth Fotheringham

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at Bob Guertin Arena, Gaineau,  taking place on 01/03/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Marin Lavanchy (11(5) - 0) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Gareth Fotheringham(19 - 17(5) - 2) from Montreal, Canada.  Both Lavanchy and Fotheringham weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Laurent Marceau, and the three ringside judges are Cable Halimi, Simon Barra and Aramis Duvauchelle.  

Round 1: 

Lavanchy advances into close range and digs in a right hook to Fotheringham's body.  
Fotheringham lands a right hook.  
Lavanchy walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Fotheringham attempts to land a right hook, but Lavanchy blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.

Lavanchy manouvers Fotheringham into the corner.  Lavanchy hits home with a firm left uppercut.

Lavanchy crashes a big left uppercut to Fotheringham's body.  FOTHERINGHAM IS HURT!  
Lavanchy knows Fotheringham is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Lavanchy is on target with a weighty right hook to Fotheringham's body.  FOTHERINGHAM IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Fotheringham has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Fotheringham has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused a slight cut .
