Jack Scurlock vs John Ruthven

Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica Promotions promoted show at Kingston Kitching, Kingston,  taking place on 26/01/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Jamaica-Kingston Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jack Scurlock (4 - 6(1) - 1) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and John Ruthven(4 - 1) from Kingston, Jamaica.  Both Scurlock and Ruthven weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Harper, and the three ringside judges are Chris Moir, Gareth Stater and Corey Broadie.  

Round 1: 

Ruthven is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Ruthven throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Ruthven clinches his opponent.  Ruthven is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Ruthven pushes his forearm into Scurlock's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Ruthven quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Ruthven gets on the inside.  Ruthven pivots from in front of his opponent.  Ruthven lands a left hook.  Ruthven clinches his opponent.  Scurlock is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ruthven is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Scurlock tries to land a jab, but Ruthven slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Ruthven gets on the inside.  Ruthven sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Scurlock pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Ruthven's body.  
Scurlock steps away from his opponent.  Scurlock quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Ruthven pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a sharp left hook.  
Ruthven sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Ruthven circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Scurlock attempts to land a jab, but Ruthven parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ruthven pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ruthven hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Ruthven advances into close range.  Ruthven quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Scurlock throws a right uppercut, but Ruthven ties up his opponent.  Ruthven pushes his forearm into Scurlock's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Scurlock is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Scurlock sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ruthven connects with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Scurlock's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Scurlock advances into close range.  Ruthven lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Ruthven ties up his opponent.  Ruthven pushes his forearm into Scurlock's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Ruthven.  
Scurlock sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ruthven hits home with a right hook.  Ruthven clinches his opponent.  Ruthven leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ruthven lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Ruthven lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Ruthven hits home with a firm left hook.  Ruthven tries to land a left hook, but Scurlock blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ruthven lands a stinging right hook.  
Scurlock tries to land a right hook, but Ruthven blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Ruthven lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Scurlock hits home with a right hook.  Ruthven ties up his opponent.  Ruthven leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Ruthven pivots from in front of his opponent.  Ruthven is on target with a sharp right hook.  Ruthven attempts to land a right hook, but Scurlock blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Ruthven is on target with a right uppercut to Scurlock's body.  
Ruthven sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ruthven sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ruthven drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Ruthven throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ruthven steps away from his opponent and lands a solid overhand right.  
Scurlock is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand left.  
Ruthven is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Scurlock quickly recovers. 
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Scurlock's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Ruthven manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Scurlock lands a left hook.  
Ruthven is looking to close the distance.  Ruthven sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Scurlock tries to land a right hook, but Ruthven slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Scurlock finds the target with a jab.  
Ruthven digs in a left uppercut to Scurlock's liver.  
Scurlock pivots from in front of his opponent.  Scurlock throws a right hook, but Ruthven holds on to his opponent.  Ruthven is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Ruthven sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Ruthven stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Ruthven lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS SCURLOCK TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Ruthven!
