Daichi Bando vs Fumio Sugimoto

Boxing Daily Report from the Panyin Promotions promoted show at Takeshi Oda Gym, Fukuoka,  taking place on 28/01/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Fukuoka Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Daichi Bando (5 - 12(3) - 3) who hails from Fukuoka, Japan and Fumio Sugimoto(1(1) - 1) from Kitakyushu, Japan.  Bando weighed in at 252 pounds and 11 ounces, while Sugimoto weighed in at 230 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Iwao Kusumoto, and the three ringside judges are Satoshi Murata, Hiroki Shimabukuro and Fumio Hara.  

Round 1: 

Sugimoto steps inside and hits home with a firm left uppercut.

Bando is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.

As they grapple, Sugimoto pushes his forearm into Bando's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sugimoto to stop fouling.  
Sugimoto advances into close range and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Sugimoto digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
Sugimoto is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Sugimoto is on target with a sharp left hook.  Sugimoto holds on to his opponent.  Sugimoto uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Bando behind the head. The ref breaks Sugimoto's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

As Bando tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sugimoto dabs at his face checking for damage.
