Ricky Osondu vs James Varem

Boxing Daily Report from the Frimpong Promotions promoted show at Ikechukwu Azutambata Gym, Port Harcourt,  taking place on 29/01/2039:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Rivers State Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ricky Osondu (11 - 23 - 6) who hails from Port Harcourt, Nigeria and James Varem(3 - 2) from Port Harcourt, Nigeria.  Both Osondu and Varem weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alen Akika, and the three ringside judges are Gbolahan Olatuga, Jay-Jay Oshikoya and Bright Kuti.  

Round 1: 

Osondu finds the target with a jab.  
Varem advances into close range and connects with a solid right hook.
