Baltasar Malpaya vs Carlos Bargas

Boxing Daily Report from the Poku Promotions promoted show at Santiago Dimayacyac Gym, Cabuyao,  taking place on 01/02/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Laguna Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Baltasar Malpaya (4 - 10 - 2 - 1(NC)) who hails from San Pedro, Philippines and Carlos Bargas(2 - 9) from San Pedro, Philippines.  Both Malpaya and Bargas weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Cruz Borbon, and the three ringside judges are Orlando Arrendondo, Olindo Isip and Nemesio Castrillo.  

Round 1: 

Malpaya sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with an overhand left.  
Bargas is on target with an overhand right.  Bargas throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Malpaya is looking to close the distance.  As Malpaya tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Bargas dabs at his face checking for damage.
