David Swanson vs Cruz Lopez

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Plaza de Toros, Puebla,  taking place on 05/03/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Swanson (11(3) - 0) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Cruz Lopez(25 - 17(1) - 7) from Naucalpan, Mexico.  Swanson weighed in at 118 pounds, while Lopez weighed in at 117 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Xalvador Pimienta, and the three ringside judges are Miguel Ruis, Urvano Barraza and Dimos Corrales.  

Round 1: 

Swanson gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Swanson holds on to his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Swanson pushes his forearm into Lopez's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Swanson to stop fouling.  Lopez quickly recovers. 
Lopez is looking to keep his distance.  Swanson lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Swanson steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Swanson clinches his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Swanson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Swanson lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, DROPPING LOPEZ TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Swanson clinches his opponent.  Swanson is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Swanson throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lopez steps to the outside.  Swanson lands two jabs followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Swanson lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Lopez steps away from his opponent.  Swanson is on target with a stinging cross.  Swanson throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Swanson lands with a ramrod jab.  
Swanson digs in a sharp right hook to Lopez's ribs.  
Swanson advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Swanson pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a stinging right hook to Lopez's body.  
Swanson gets on the inside and crashes a nasty left hook to his opponents liver.  IT LOOKS LIKE LOPEZ WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Swanson senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Swanson lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS LOPEZ DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Lopez now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Swanson drives a telling right hook into Lopez's ribs.  LOPEZ WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Swanson ties up his opponent.  Swanson is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Lopez recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Swanson sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Lopez throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a telling left uppercut to Lopez's body.  LOPEZ WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Lopez almost instantly recovers. 
Swanson lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Swanson sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Swanson is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents ribs.  Swanson holds on to his opponent.  Swanson leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Swanson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Swanson advances into close range and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Lopez quickly recovers. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lopez's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Lopez's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Lopez throws a left hook, but Swanson ties up his opponent.  Swanson pushes his forearm into Lopez's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lopez is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Swanson feints a cross, tricking Lopez into throwing a right uppercut counter.  Swanson springs the trap, countering with  a left uppercut.  
Swanson pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Swanson sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Swanson lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands three consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  Lopez now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Lopez tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Lopez's liver.  
Swanson steps inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Swanson connects with a firm left hook.  
Swanson manages to force Lopez onto the ropes.  Swanson lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Swanson lands a firm right uppercut.  
Lopez throws a right hook, but Swanson ties up his opponent.  Swanson hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Swanson uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Lopez behind the head. The ref breaks Swanson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
