Joe Feydeau vs Joel Connell

Boxing Daily Report from the Keal Wade promoted show at Keal Gym, Baton Rouge,  taking place on 05/02/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Louisiana Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joe Feydeau (6 - 11(1) - 3) who hails from Lafayette, USA and Joel Connell(3 - 6(1) - 1) from New Orleans, USA.  Both Feydeau and Connell weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Blake Anger, and the three ringside judges are Ricky Glasco, Ian Salton and Dylan Magie.  

Round 1: 

Connell walks Feydeau into the red corner.  Feydeau lands a cross.  
Feydeau is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Feydeau pivots from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Feydeau gets on the inside.  Connell is on target with a right hook.  
Feydeau lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Feydeau tries to land a jab, but Connell slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Connell switches the action to the outside.  Connell feints a right, and then tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to Connell's body.  
Feydeau closes the distance.  Connell throws a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Feydeau hits home with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Feydeau's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Connell's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Connell's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
