Macario Tamayo vs Henry Rutherford

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, San Francisco,  taking place on 15/01/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Macario Tamayo (5(3) - 0) who hails from Santa Clara, Cuba and Henry Rutherford(1 - 2 - 1) from Fort Wayne, USA.  Tamayo weighed in at 108 pounds, while Rutherford weighed in at 107 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Paul Ross, and the three ringside judges are James Ruan, Felix Gibson and Davie Keir.  

Round 1: 

Tamayo lands with a ramrod jab.

Rutherford is looking to keep his distance.  Tamayo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Rutherford quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Tamayo lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Rutherford tries to step out of his opponents range.  Tamayo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Rutherford feints a cross, but Tamayo ignores the feint and responds with a HUGE left uppercut.  RUTHERFORD IS HURT!  
Rutherford now seems to have got his legs back.  
Tamayo advances into close range and is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents ribs.  Tamayo ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Tamayo pushes his forearm into Rutherford's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Tamayo lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Tamayo closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Tamayo clinches his opponent.  Rutherford leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Tamayo pushes his forearm into Rutherford's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Tamayo to stop fouling.  
Rutherford pivots to the side of his opponent.  Rutherford tries to land a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Tamayo steps inside.  Rutherford quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Rutherford tries to land a right hook, but Tamayo slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Tamayo digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Tamayo lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Tamayo feints a cross, and then hits home with a spiteful jab.  
Tamayo closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Tamayo ties up his opponent.  Tamayo throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Tamayo attempts to land a right hook, but Rutherford slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Tamayo is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  Tamayo clinches his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Tamayo pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm cross.  
Tamayo gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Tamayo lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body, AND DROPS RUTHERFORD!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Tamayo senses Rutherford is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Tamayo lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND RUTHERFORD IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Rutherford has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Rutherford steps to the outside.  Tamayo lands an overhand right.  
Tamayo is looking to close the distance and walks Rutherford down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Tamayo drives a sharp left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Tamayo lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Tamayo ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Tamayo lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Rutherford's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Rutherford's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Tamayo steps inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Tamayo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a solid right hook.  
Tamayo manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Tamayo is on target with a left hook to Rutherford's ribs.  Tamayo wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Rutherford has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused swelling  around the right eye.  
Tamayo gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Rutherford is looking to keep his distance.  Tamayo lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Tamayo closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Tamayo is on target with a right hook to Rutherford's ribs.  
Rutherford switches the action to the outside.  Tamayo lands an overhand left.  
Tamayo gets on the inside and crashes a hurtful right uppercut to his opponents body.  RUTHERFORD IS HURT!  Rutherford recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
