Daichi Nakama vs Kei Maeda

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 26/02/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Daichi Nakama (46(35) - 10(1)) who hails from Toyota, Japan and Kei Maeda(16 - 7(1) - 2) from Kobe, Japan.  Both Nakama and Maeda weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hikaru Onaga, and the three ringside judges are Goro Oyama, Eiji Mizuno and Isamu Nonaka.  

Round 1: 

Nakama lands a sharp overhand right.  
Nakama lands a firm jab to his opponents body.  
Nakama lands a left hook, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Nakama lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Nakama lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Maeda quickly recovers. 
Maeda closes the distance and manouvers Nakama onto the ropes.  Maeda throws a left hook, but Nakama holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Nakama pushes his forearm into Maeda's face.  The ref breaks Nakama's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Nakama feints a jab, and then lands a sharp jab.  
Nakama tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Nakama is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a jab.  
Nakama hits home with a cross.  
Nakama lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Maeda walks his opponent into the corner.  Nakama is on target with a jab.  
Maeda closes the distance.  Nakama lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Nakama steps to the outside.  Nakama drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Maeda throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Nakama feints a jab and triggers a left uppercut counter from Maeda.  Nakama is waiting for the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Nakama lands a firm overhand right.  
Nakama lands a cross.  
Maeda attempts to land a jab, but Nakama sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Nakama steps to the outside.  Nakama feints a cross, and then lands a stinging overhand left.  
Maeda lands a jab.  
Nakama lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Nakama lands a jab, overhand left and a cross to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Maeda recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Maeda's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Maeda's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Maeda's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Nakama lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Maeda quickly recovers. 
Nakama is on target with a solid left uppercut to Maeda's body.  
Nakama lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Maeda attempts to land a cross, but Nakama slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Nakama is on target with a jab.  
Nakama switches the action to the outside.  Nakama sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Nakama lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Nakama lands a jab.  
Nakama lands a spiteful jab.  
Maeda advances into close range.  Maeda quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Nakama lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Nakama throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Nakama ties up his opponent.  Nakama is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Nakama is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND DROPS MAEDA!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Nakama!
