Brendan Davis vs Ellis Meredith

Boxing Daily Report from the Dana White promoted show at Vancouver Ross, Vancouver,  taking place on 17/02/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-British Columbia Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brendan Davis (16 - 23(1) - 4) who hails from Vancouver, Canada and Ellis Meredith(8 - 10 - 7) from Surrey, Canada.  Both Davis and Meredith weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Spencer Clary, and the three ringside judges are Noel Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Crosbie and Alec Aitken.  

Round 1: 

Meredith gets on the inside.  Davis attempts to land a left hook, but Meredith slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Meredith gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to Davis's body.  
Davis sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Meredith drives a left hook into Davis's body.

Meredith cuts off the ring, trapping Davis in a corner.  Davis throws a right uppercut, but Meredith holds on to his opponent.  Davis is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Meredith's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Meredith closes the distance.  Davis pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Meredith closes the distance.  Davis is on target with a right uppercut.  
Davis attempts to land a cross, but Meredith sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Meredith closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Davis's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Meredith's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Davis pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Meredith steps inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Meredith walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Meredith hits home with a left hook.  
Meredith closes the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Davis blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Davis sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Davis dabs at his face checking for damage.

Meredith is on target with a right uppercut.
