David Cooney vs Malcolm Kane

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Munster promoted show at Peter Lynch Gym, Limerick,  taking place on 23/02/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish-Munster Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Cooney (11(4) - 0) who hails from Cork, Ireland and Malcolm Kane(6 - 11(1) - 4) from Cork, Ireland.  Cooney weighed in at 117 pounds and 6 ounces, while Kane weighed in at 117 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Killian Corcoran, and the three ringside judges are Conor McCrory, Patrick Hanigan and Patrick Hannigan.  

Round 1:

Kane is looking to keep his distance.  Cooney lands two overhand rights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Cooney advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Cooney clinches his opponent.  Cooney leans on his opponent using all his weight. Cooney pushes his forearm into Kane's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
