Jun Akagi vs Nori Miya

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Hyogo promoted show at Kenji Oyama Gym, Takarazuka,  taking place on 23/02/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Hyogo Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jun Akagi (9 - 6 - 2) who hails from Kobe, Japan and Nori Miya(9 - 9 - 3) from Kobe, Japan.  Akagi weighed in at 105 pounds, while Miya weighed in at 104 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kyo Maekawa, and the three ringside judges are Michi Morita, Ryuu Aoki and Kazuhiko Fujii.  

Round 1: 

Akagi lands a left uppercut.  
Akagi tries to land a jab, but Miya sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Miya switches the action to the outside.  Akagi throws an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Miya.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Akagi's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Miya's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Miya's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
