Venacio Lazcano vs Pablo Cordon

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Estadio Nacional de Futbol, Managua,  taking place on 19/03/2039:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Central American Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ESPN Latin America, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Venacio Lazcano (41(23) - 3(1)) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Pablo Cordon(30 - 8(2) - 1) from Managua, Nicaragua.  Lazcano weighed in at 153 pounds and 9 ounces, while Cordon weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Alcala, and the three ringside judges are Porfio Sanchez, Xaver Fiel and Alejandro Londono.  

Round 1: 

Lazcano lands a straight 1 - 2.

Cordon steps to the outside.  Lazcano sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Cordon recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Lazcano gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cordon is on target with a left hook.  Cordon attempts to land a right hook, but Lazcano sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lazcano lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Cordon pivots to the side of his opponent.  Lazcano throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Lazcano steps inside.  Lazcano backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Cordon accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Lazcano.

Cordon sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Lazcano's body.  
Cordon pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Cordon tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Lazcano gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lazcano lands a right hook.  
Lazcano hits home with a left hook.

Lazcano throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Lazcano holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Lazcano pushes his forearm into Cordon's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Lazcano.  
Cordon sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lazcano hits home with a stinging left uppercut.  
Cordon lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Cordon tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a big cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE CORDON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Cordon could be stopped here, if Lazcano can find the right shot!  Lazcano lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS CORDON!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  
Lazcano lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, DROPPING CORDON TO THE CANVAS!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Lazcano!
