Javier Rafael vs Jose Marciel

Boxing Daily Report from the Wonani Promotions promoted show at Guayaquil Fernandez, Guayaquil,  taking place on 22/03/2039:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Guayas Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Javier Rafael (32 - 9 - 4) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Jose Marciel(10 - 13 - 4) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Rafael weighed in at 140 pounds And 10 ounces, while Marciel weighed in at 140 pounds.    As Rafael came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Felippe Manco, and the three ringside judges are Rio Garcia, Hilario Granada and Fanuco Malara.  

Round 1: 

Marciel tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.  
Marciel steps away from his opponent and hits home with an overhand right.  
Marciel switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Marciel is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Rafael closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Rafael tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
As Marciel tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Rafael dabs at his face checking for damage.  Rafael has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.  
Rafael manouvers Marciel onto the ropes.  Rafael is on target with a left hook.
