Ellis Poovey vs Chris Puller

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Cobb Galleria Centre, Atlanta,  taking place on 31/03/2039:

Clearly Showtime Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the USA-Georgia Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on MSG Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ellis Poovey (15(5) - 0) who hails from Macon, USA and Chris Puller(8 - 21 - 7) from Atlanta, USA.  Both Poovey and Puller weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fraser Walker, and the three ringside judges are Jacob Quigley, Dai Gibson and Justin Sandison.  

Round 1: 

Poovey sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands with a hard jab.  
Poovey lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Poovey switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Poovey hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Poovey hits home with a cross.  
Poovey feints a cross, and then lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Poovey hits home with a cross.  Poovey tries to land a jab, but Puller sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Puller closes the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Poovey lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Poovey drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Poovey holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Poovey pushes his forearm into Puller's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Poovey.  
Puller closes the distance.  Poovey lands a right hook.  
Poovey feints a right hook, and then lands with a ramrod jab.  
Poovey lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Poovey drives a stinging right hook into his opponents body.  
Poovey is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Puller advances into close range.  Poovey lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Poovey is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Poovey sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Poovey tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with an overhand left.  
Puller gets on the inside.  Poovey pivots to the right of his opponent.  Poovey drives a left hook into Puller's body.  Poovey holds on to his opponent.  Puller is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Poovey lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Puller attempts to land a right hook, but Poovey slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Poovey feints a left hook, and then lands a sharp cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Puller's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Puller's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Poovey lands a firm cross.  
Poovey is looking to keep his distance and connects with a potent cross.  PULLER WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Poovey knows Puller is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Poovey lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS PULLER TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Poovey!
