Jax Montemayor vs Jose Ayon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Venezuela-Lara promoted show at Barquisimeto Bojorquez, Barquisimeto,  taking place on 10/04/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Venezuela-Lara Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Meridiano TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jax Montemayor (13 - 7 - 3) who hails from Barquisimeto, Venezuela and Jose Ayon(8 - 7 - 4) from Barquisimeto, Venezuela.  Both Montemayor and Ayon weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jair Torrente, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Porro, Jaguar Pita and Vicente Rosales.  

Round 1: 

Montemayor throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

Ayon gets on the inside.  Ayon pivots to the left of his opponent andAs the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ayon dabs at his face checking for damage.

Ayon contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Montemayor lands a cross.
