Makalo Muniru vs Tefu Sikali

Boxing Daily Report from the Skebenga Corp promoted show at Investec Milpark Stadium, Johannesburg,  taking place on 23/04/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the South Africa Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Makalo Muniru (13(8) - 2(2)) who hails from Umlazi, South Africa and Tefu Sikali(22 - 10(6)) from Soweto, South Africa.  Both Muniru and Sikali weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Justus De Vries, and the three ringside judges are Ubanwa Koranteng, Charel Cilliers and Kofi Magqwaka.  

Round 1: 

Sikali attempts to land a right hook, but Muniru slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Sikali's liver.

Sikali is looking to close the distance and walks Muniru onto the ropes.  Muniru drives a solid left hook into his opponents liver.  
Muniru lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Muniru lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

Sikali closes the distance.  Muniru pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Muniru switches the action to the outside.  Sikali lands a cross.  
Muniru tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but Sikali sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Muniru is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Sikali throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a SAVAGE right uppercut.  SIKALI WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Muniru is looking to force the stoppage!  Muniru lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES SIKALI!  He manages to get up at 9.  
Muniru is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Muniru lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head, DROPPING SIKALI TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Sikali now seems to have his senses back.

Muniru is looking to keep his distance.  Muniru feints a left, and then connects with a firm cross.

Sikali cuts off the ring, trapping Muniru on the ropes.  Sikali throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Muniru hits the target with a spiteful jab.  Muniru throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Muniru lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Sikali almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Muniru attempts to land a cross, but Sikali sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Muniru lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Muniru steps away from his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  Muniru tries to land a jab, but Sikali slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Muniru connects with a weighty left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE SIKALI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Sikali almost instantly gets his legs back.
