Nori Shoda vs Yuji Niwa

Boxing Daily Report from the Panyin Promotions promoted show at Yoshi Ota Gym, Kurume,  taking place on 26/04/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Fukuoka Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nori Shoda (14 - 19 - 6) who hails from Kitakyushu, Japan and Yuji Niwa(4 - 1) from Fukuoka, Japan.  Both Shoda and Niwa weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Goro Koizumi, and the three ringside judges are Akira Oshita, Kaede Kuba and Mikio Iwasaki.  

Round 1: 

Niwa pivots to the side of his opponent.  Niwa throws a right uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Niwa holds on to his opponent.  Niwa leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Niwa pushes his forearm into Shoda's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
