Rio Rayo vs Diego De la Paz

Boxing Daily Report from the Kavuta Promotions promoted show at Rodrigo Luna Gym, Chihuahua,  taking place on 29/04/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Chihuahua Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rio Rayo (12 - 16 - 2) who hails from Chihuahua, Mexico and Diego De la Paz(2 - 2 - 1) from Juarez, Mexico.  Both Rayo and De la Paz weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Angel Morales, and the three ringside judges are Dario Orellana, Jose Espina and Santiago Benavides.  

Round 1: 

De la Paz lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Rayo attempts to land a jab, but De la Paz slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Rayo dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Rayo.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
