Matt Birwinyo vs Tariq Majeed

Boxing Daily Report from the Manyama Promotions promoted show at Kampala Muhammad, Kampala,  taking place on 04/05/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uganda-Kampala District Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matt Birwinyo (5 - 10 - 1) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Tariq Majeed(4 - 4 - 2) from Kampala, Uganda.  Birwinyo weighed in at 121 pounds and 6 ounces, while Majeed weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Naeem Kabuye, and the three ringside judges are Dai Birungi, Obaid Aly and Rehman Shaikh.  

Round 1: 

Majeed steps inside.  Birwinyo goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Majeed's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Majeed closes the distance.  Birwinyo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  Majeed wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Birwinyo.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Birwinyo steps away from his opponent and throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.
